VOWs Ceremonies are Really Easy!

a) All you need is an internet connected pc, laptop, smartphone or tablet with a decent camera and microphone. Naturally, the better your gear and internet speed, the better will be your VOWs experience.


For our videocall connection we'll use Zoom via a link provided by the Virtual Minister.

 ​b) Before your main ceremony date we'll have a Pre-ceremony videocall to say hello, check your set up, and also personalize your VOWs experience. We can do this on the same date as the main ceremony videocall, but it's more ideal to have it at least a day or two beforehand, especially if you are requesting a VOWs Plus or VOWs Movie Theme package.

c) Then on the appointed special date, the Virtual Minister will conduct your bespoke Unity Wedding or Renewal of Vows ceremony, with his video image placed besides yours so as to create a more personal, virtual-like scene.

During your ceremony the Virtual Minister will smoothly lead you through the same meaningful and romantic steps as most any Western-style wedding (though he is certainly open to adjusting the proceedings if you have other ideas or preferences).


There are also optional elements you can include (no extra cost), including personal messages to family and friends, having your kids involved, conducting a toast after the main proceedings, etc. – the Virtual Minister tailors each ceremony to best meet every couple's wishes.

And that's about all there is to it – plus a lot more emotion and possibly even tears than you might expect!

a) If for any reason you would like to cancel your Main Ceremony booking before or after the Pre-Ceremony videocall, you may do so as long as your written, emailed request is received at least 7 days before the appointed Main Ceremony date/time. You will receive a full refund on your 50% Deposit payment (less any possible PayPal, bank etc. fees).

b) If for any reason you are not moved and fully satisfied after your Main Ceremony videocall, you would be given a choice of either...
1. Re-scheduling the ceremony (e.g. perhaps one of the parties had an electrical or internet outage or the like).
Or...
​2) Receiving a 100% full refund of your Deposit and Balance payments (less any possible PayPal, bank etc. fees).

Thankfully none of the situations mentioned above have ever arisen in over 9 years of VOWs operation, the Virtual Minister aims to please and stands by his services.

The Main Elements of a Typical VOWs Ceremony

1.  Welcome message & Personalized Photo Slideshow.
2.  Introduction, formally begin the Ceremony.
3.  Romantic Poem and/or Blessing.
4.  Any Objections? (yes, even if only the couple)
5.  Words of Advice from the Virtual Minister.
6.  Commitment (the "I Do" part).

7.  Personal Vows (optional but highly recommended).

8.  Short Romantic Poem.

9.  Exchange of Rings Vows.

10.  Cherokee Indian or Religious Blessing.

11.  Pronouncement of Marriage then the Kiss.

12.  Final Messages then Goodbye.

Of course the Virtual Minister is very open to making any adjustments to the various components of your ceremony, just let him know your wishes during any pre-ceremony correspondence.
